Exhibits for the Upcoming December 11th Public Meeting

Below are the exhibits that we will have at the December 11th Public Meeting (Sutton Elementary School from 5:00 to 7:30). This meeting will be a similar format to the previous meeting, with an open house format where attendees can interact directly with the project team.

The exhibits below include two options for the shooting range that are a refinement of the previous options, and maps that show where the overall project site is located within the overall area.

All of the exhibits can be downloaded as a single PDF file using this link:  Jonesville Shooting Range and Park December 11th Exhibits

Options

Option 1: This option locates the 300 and 200 yard ranges farthest to the west. This reduces the amount of excavation, and allows a consolidated open space that connects the range area with areas to the east (campground and trail access) and the areas to the south. Another benefit is better alignment of firing lines. A challenge of this layout is that the various uses within the area are not separated, allowing the potential for non-shooting focused traffic within the shooting area.

Option 2: This option locates the 300 and 200 yard ranges at the east. The advantage of this design is that the shooting range is fully isolated from other uses. A challenge of this layout is a larger amount of excavation and more staggered firing lines.
